Synopsis:

In 1964 Shirley (Anita St. Hill) Chisholm one of four girls born to immigrant parents, is the only female elected to represent her Brooklyn community in the NY State Assembly in Albany.  In this presentation we see who has inspired her to claim her status in U.S. history as the first black female elected to the NY State Assembly, and eventually to be the only black female nominated to run for President of the United States.
