The Kilroys are a gang of playwrights and producers in LA who are done talking about gender parity and are ready to act. We are mobilizing others in our field and leveraging our own power to support one another.

To the Editor:
As professionals advocating for gender parity in theater for more than three decades, the League of Professional Theatre Women salutes the efforts of the Kilroys advocacy group in taking specific and meaningful action on this issue (“Creating a Supply Chain of Work by Female Playwrights” Arts pages, June 17).
We hope that the group’s list will raise public awareness of the gender gap in entertainment, as well as call attention to the plays on the list and to the many other worthy and producible plays written by women.
We are doing our best to make change, and thank you for bringing the issue to the fore.
