Picture this: an authentic and unique Brazilian celebration\, almost as big as carnival\, created from a mix of European\, African and indigenous harvest and spiritual celebrations resulting in unique music\, food\, games\, and dance.\n\nGroup .BR\, NY’s Brazilian Theater Company\,\nis happy to announce that\nthere will be Festa de São João!\nYes\, there will be Festa de São João\,\nbut there will be no tradução! Translation não.\nBecause Festa de São João is Festa de São João\,\nso we won’t Saint John Party you.\nSão João is when Brazilian people feel homesick. Again!\nBecause it is a true Brazilian celebration\nalmost as big as carnival\nthat takes the country every June.\nPicture a mix of Portuguese\, African and Indigenous festivities\ntranslated into unique music\, play and dance\nwith a truly Brazilian soul.\nCome have a bite!\n\nThere will be live forró with FORRÓ IN THE DARK\nand TRIO LITTLE BIRDS with the special guest LIZ ROSA\,\nthere will be DEØGAZ (Gaspar Muniz and Deo Jorge)\, DJ GREG CAZ and DJAPA\nspinning the best of Brazilian beats\,\nthere will be a free forró dance class by NY Forró Fest\nwith Sabrina Evangelista & Daniel Silva\nthere will be typical food\, drinks\, games\,\nand there will be quadrilha!
