DESCRIPTION:Salon sYmphoNY\, 8 March 2015\, 4:00pm-6:00pm\n\nSouth Oxford Space\, 138 South Oxford Street\, Brooklyn\, NY\, 11217\n\n \n\nDozens of New York-based performers from across the globe will pay homage to inspirational women from their homelands on Sunday March 8th\, International Women’s Day.\n\n \n\nThe fourth annual Salon sYmphoNY moves to the beautiful South Oxford Space in Brooklyn's Fort Green\, as organisers anticipate the largest ever number of participants and audience.\n\n \n\nWorking with The OPTimistiks theatre collective\, International Women Artists' Salon looks forward to its second collaboration with the League of Professional Theatre Women and their International Committee as well as dozens of other independent artists\, from all disciplines.\n\n \n\nMonologues\, poems and even songs from countries from Albania to Zambia will pay tribute to the legacy of cultural riches created by women around the world and sustained today by the women and the city of New York.\n\n \n\nThe Great Room at ART New York's South Oxford Space is the venue for the event from 4-6pm on Sunday March 8th for all who are inspired by women artists from history and the here and now.\n\n \n\nAdvance reservations are recommended via Brown Paper Tickets for a suggested $10 donation. \n\nwww.salonsymphony.brownpapertickets.com \n\nUnreserved seating on the day is subject to availability and a $15 suggested donation on the door. \n\nNB: No one will be turned away due to financial constraints until capacity is reached for the space. \n\nIf you cannot attend\, there is a donation only ticket through Brown Paper Ticket as well to support this great performance series.
