DESCRIPTION:Submission Period: 10/1/18 - 10/31/18 at 11:59PM Eastern\n\nSubmission Link: https://www.parityproductions.org/submit-your-script.html\n\nSubmission Fee: NO FEE\n\nSubmission Requirements: All playwrights are welcome to submit to Parity Productions. Playwrights self-identifying as cis women or trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) will automatically be considered for The Annual Parity Commission—an award of $2\,500 and developmental support with an option to full-scale produce the work.\nAll submitted works should be in harmony with Parity’s artistic mission: to give voice to individuals who rebel against their marginalized place in society.\n\nPlaywrights must submit a playwriting resume and two full-length plays\, and must indicate in the submission form which play they want to be considered for The Commission and which they are submitting as a writing sample. If two full-lengths have not been completed\, playwrights can submit one full-length play and no fewer than 25 pages of a second play (or alternate form of fiction writing).\n\nPlays submitted for consideration must be new and may not have had a previous professional production (either Equity or non-Equity). Submitted plays that have been previously produced will not be read. However\, works that have had readings or workshops may be submitted.\n\nAll documents must be submitted in PDF format. Scripts must be neat and formatted to industry standard (e.g.\, Sam French\, Dramatists Guild\, or Final Draft format).\nSubmissions with title or playwright name on any page but the title page will not be read.\n\nResubmission from previous years is welcome\, but Parity encourages playwrights to have evolved the play in between submission periods.\n\nIf they are not NYC local\, winning playwrights must be willing and able to self-report to NYC at several points throughout the development process. Parity Productions does not currently subsidize travel/stay.
