SUMMARY:MultiStages' "The Future Is Female" Festival
DESCRIPTION:MultiStages is presenting a two-night festival with multidisciplinary and multicultural new works by 18 women (short plays\, modern dance\, video\, music\, poetry\, and visual art). Unique about the festival is that the work is created\, performed\, directed\, and produced by women ranging in age from 11 to 82 who represent a mix of cultures and races.\n\nThis Women’s History Month festival looks at where we've been\, where we are\, and where we will be when The Future Is Female. Playwrights: Raquel Almazan\, Maya Contreras\, Cynthia Cooper\, Cecilia Copland\, Cesi Davidson\, C.S. Hanson\, Penny Jackson\, Chiori Miyagawa\, Desi Moreno-Penson\, Noemi de la Puente\, Liz Sipes\, and Nichole Thompson-Adams; Dancers: JENNIFERCHINdance; Poets: Gloria Vando\, Ela Alster\, and Tess Cacciatore; Composers: Juana Aquerreta and Anika Paris; Conductors: Tong Chen and LaFrae Sci; Directors: Sara Berg\, Elowyn Castle\, Kimille Howard\, and MultiStages Artistic Director Lorca Peress.
