SUMMARY:#Metoo - Theatre Industry Submissions
DESCRIPTION:Women from the film industry\, television and radio news outlets\, politics\, and even gymnastics have raised their voices about sexual misconduct or assault in the workplace. LPTW Interim Board Member Yvette Heyliger is calling for submissions of tweets\, monologues and scenes on sexual assault or sexual misconduct within the theatre industry. A reading and talk back will be held on (or about) March 8th in recognition of International Women's Day as a sister-event with Flush Ink theatre company of Canada. The reading will be free and open to the public (no royalties); submissions up to ten minutes in length. Playwrights must secure their own director and cast; cold casting with actors in attendance also possible. Send your submissions to twinbizny@gmail.com\, no later than 5:00pm on Friday\, February 16\, 2018.
